Why be concerned?
You may have heard that attorneys are systematically using compliance tools to review all credit union websites for ADA errors or violations and including that information in their letter to your credit union. No court has blocked their activity yet in their other litigation. The settlement agreement they propose includes updating the credit union's website to an ADA compliant state and paying attorney fees. It appears that website ADA compliance is here now and is not going away.
You can get ahead of this problem
Several credit unions have contacted us already and have made the decision to get in front of this issue. We are working diligently to update those credit union sites to an ADA compliant status. Having an ADA compliant website is likely the best and maybe only way to avoid this litigious headache.
