Virtual Server Solutions

What is a virtual server?

Virtual servers are the new way of having multiple servers on one physical server box. The one physical server box houses multiple virtual servers that are set up logically through the use of software. Instead of having multiple boxes do multiple functions, your credit union could perform many functions on one server box using virtual servers.

What are the advantages of employing a virtual server?

  • Your credit union will have a lower overall hardware cost.
  • Maintenance needs to be performed on only one device.
  • Virtual servers save on space.
  • When other services or programs need their own server environment, you can easily add it to your virtual server instead of buying a brand new server for each program.
